2. What personal data we collect
We collect personal data directly from you when you interact with this website. We do not buy personal data from third parties or collect it from public sources.
2.1 Enquiries and contact forms
When you contact us through the website (for example, via a contact or enquiry form, or by emailing us directly), we collect information such as:

Email address
Phone number (if provided)
Company name and job title (if provided)
The content of your message, including any project details you choose to share
2.2 Booking a call
The "Book a Call" feature on this site is provided through Calendly, a third-party scheduling tool. When you book a call, Calendly collects the information you enter (typically name, email address, and any notes you add) and shares it with us to arrange and conduct the call. Calendly's own privacy notice governs how it processes that data — see calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.
2.3 Bookings, deposits and retainer sign-ups
Where you pay a booking deposit or sign up for a monthly retainer through this website, payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your full card details ourselves — Stripe handles payment data directly in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). See stripe.com/privacy for Stripe's own privacy policy. We receive confirmation that a payment has been made, along with billing details such as your name, email address, and billing address, which we use for invoicing and our own accounting records.
2.4 Website hosting, cookies and analytics
This website is built and hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace acts as our data processor for website hosting and also sets certain cookies in its own right to operate the site (for example, to remember cart contents, enable security features, and provide basic site analytics). See Section 6 (Cookies) below and Squarespace's own privacy notice at squarespace.com/privacy for further detail.
We do not currently use separate third-party advertising or tracking tools such as Google Analytics, the Meta/Facebook Pixel, or the LinkedIn Insight Tag on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent via the cookie banner before any such tool is activated.
2.5 What we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, or religious belief) through this website, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

We share personal data with the following categories of third party, each acting as a data processor (or, in some cases, an independent controller) in connection with the services described above:

Professional advisors (such as our accountant), where necessary for accounting and tax compliance
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, for example in response to a valid request from An Garda Síochána, the Revenue Commissioners, or a court.
5. International data transfers
Squarespace, Calendly and Stripe are US-headquartered companies that may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, these providers rely on recognised safeguards under GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection. 6. Cookies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit, you are shown a cookie banner allowing you to Accept all, Decline all, or Manage cookies.
We currently use:
Essential/strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function correctly (for example, remembering items in a booking cart, enabling secure checkout, and basic site security). These cannot be switched off, as the site would not work without them.
Squarespace's built-in analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors use the site (such as pages viewed and general visitor numbers), so we can improve it.
We do not currently use separate advertising or cross-site tracking cookies (such as those from Google, Meta, or LinkedIn). You can manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer.
7. How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not become a project: We retain enquiry and contact form data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and follow up on your enquiry, and then delete it within a reasonable period if no business relationship is established.
Client and payment records: Where a booking, deposit or retainer is taken, we retain the related records (including invoicing and payment confirmation data) for six years, in line with Irish Revenue Commissioners' recordkeeping requirements under Section 886 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997.
Cookie data: Retained for the duration set by Squarespace's cookie policy, or until you withdraw consent, whichever is earlier.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Erasure ("right to be forgotten"), subject to our legal obligations (for example, tax recordkeeping)
Restrict or object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances

Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including relying on Squarespace's and Stripe's security infrastructure (both of which maintain PCI DSS compliance for payment handling) and restricting access to enquiry and client data to Ailbe Collins. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new tools (such as email marketing software) or change how we process data. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
